Escuela de ArquitecturaEl comercio informal es una actividad compleja por sí misma, sin embargo, el fenómeno migratorio ha incrementado su visibilidad y problemática, especialmente en el sector comercial de Estación Central en Santigo de Chile. Ésta histórica zona que es parte de La Alameda contiene en sus calles la experiencia migrante mermada por una escasa integración que no asegura el derecho a la ciudad ni menos el acceso a servicios básicos, habitacionales y laborales. Resultado de ello, es ejercer como método de subsistencia el comercio ambulante, ocupación que notoriamente desgasta las condiciones de confort urbano por la intensidad de uso que proporciona y que, por ende, advierte una crisis en el espacio público.Por ello, la investigación propone indagar en cómo podría ser configurado el espacio público para regular el comercio informal y a la vez mejorar las condiciones de integración de las personas inmigrantes del sector. Para responder a la pregunta, el estudio se aborda desde los tres componentes básicos del problema: la inmigración, el comercio informal y el espacio público, asegurando un nexo en la integración intercultural. La metodología es etnográfica y espacial, ambas basadas en el trabajo de campo con entrevistas a comerciantes, consumidores y transeúntes, y la observación de sus usos e interacciones. En cuanto al desarrollo multiescalar de la investigación y proyecto, se inicia y termina con el análisis de escenas del comercio informal, reformulado a un comercio regulado. No obstante para ello, se realiza un trabajo que construye la escala urbana desde las interacciones preexistentes, como lo son la sociabilidad doméstica de los comerciantes, las jerarquías de poder de los colectivos inmigrantes, las economías de la nostalgia que relacionan al vendedor con el consumidor, las organizaciones locales para la venta, y la estructura social de las aceras con la transgresión no agresiva hacia el transeúnte; todo para indagar en relación entre interculturalidad y forma urbana.Cada uno de estos hallazgos se utiliza para dar una solución de integración política al comercio informal, nutrida por los colectivos interculturales en zonas de gestión; y de integración cultural a las interacciones, con una propuesta de diseño del espacio público que aprovecha zonas de desuso contiguas a grandes edificios comerciales del barrio explotando económica y culturalmente las economías de la nostalgia. Por su parte, las zonas comerciales preexistentes como La Alameda y el Barrio Meiggs, encuentran solución en un mobiliario urbano que permite reestructurar las prioridades de uso de la acera, por medio de un módulo constructivo que desde la sombra y el descanso da integración laboral en la venta con usos como apoyar, colgar y almacenar; y la integración social con áreas para la sociabilidad doméstica como comer, conversar o cocinar. Así, la proyección de espacios de encuentro multiescalar se transforman en una herramienta de regulación del comercio informal y de integración en todos sus ámbitos.Palabras Clave: Comercio informal, Inmigrantes, Espacio público, Integración, Interculturalidad, Estación Central.

Escuela de ArquitecturaLa existencia de los museos y sus transformaciones, tanto cómo instituciones cómo en términos formales y programáticos, reflejan las tensiones culturales, sociales y políticas de determinada sociedad, en un momento histórico concreto. Hoy, como espacio de manifestación de ideas y valores culturales, los museos están sometidos a una revisión crítica de su relación con el público, sus colecciones y formas de exposición. Siempre buscando establecer una función social vinculada a favorecer la accesibilidad, crear lazos de identificación y cooperar en la construcción de una educación liberadora. El caso de los espacios culturales de Lina Bo Bardi, arquitecta de origen italiano activa en Brasil, constituye un panorama significativo para estudiar algunas de estas cuestiones. Procedente de una Italia destruida por la guerra, Lina había tenido una corta y densa experiencia con importantes nombres de la vanguardia italiana cuando llegó a Brasil en 1946. En Latinoamérica enfrentó a un escenario de desequilibrio social, una vanguardia internacional en ascenso y una cultura en desarrollo. Junto con su marido, Pietro Maria Bardi, ven en este Nuevo Mundo una oportunidad para poner en marcha un proyecto cultural en el que el arte, como conocimiento, es un agente de transformación social. En sus proyectos de museos y centros culturales, Lina debatió sobre la modernización del país y la incorporación del pueblo y su cultura en este ámbito. Desde una perspectiva extranjera, mezcló los conocimientos adquiridos en Italia con sus experiencias en Brasil para crear y adaptar herramientas que, aplicadas a grandes proyectos culturales, intentaban responder a complejas cuestiones sociales.
