Abstract
In this building for the Ministry of the Interior, the regulation defined that the facade must follow the aesthetic and material guidelines of Santiago's Civic District. Using this restriction as an advantage, the thick exterior walls are transformed in a mass that ensures thermal inertia while a clever system of interior voids (at the scale of a public building) permits the injection and circulation of fresh air to all the Ministry offices.
