dc.description.abstractThe imaginary behind the house with pitched roof, fence and front yard - current in Chilean intermediate cities - is completely disrupted through this remodeling. By transforming the original tiles (rain protection) into the masonry of the wall that replaces the gate (privacy protection), the project suggests a new domestic imaginary: an open, bright interior along a blind enclosing wall facing the neighbors and the street.
