- ItemEffect of primary coronary angioplasty on left ventricular function and myocardial perfusion as determined by Tc-99m sestamibi scintigraphy(EXCERPTA MEDICA INC-ELSEVIER SCIENCE INC, 2001) Castro, PF; Corbalan, R; Baeza, R; Nazzal, C; Greig, DP; Miranda, FP; Gonzalez, R; Marchant, E; Olea, E; Larrain, GTwenty-foul consecutive patients undergoing primary angioplasty were systematically studied with technetium-99m sestamibi myocardial scanning before intervention at 72 hours and at 3 months. Treatment with primary angioplasty was associated with a significant early decrease in the perfusion defect size, followed by a later improvement in left ventricular dimensions and ejection fraction.
- ItemEffects of glucose-insulin-potassium solution on myocardial salvage and left ventricular function after primary angioplasty(LIPPINCOTT WILLIAMS & WILKINS, 2003) Castro, PF; Larrain, G; Baeza, R; Corbalan, R; Nazzal, C; Greig, DP; Miranda, FP; Perez, O; Acevedo, M; Marchant, E; Olea, E; Gonzalez, RObjective. To evaluate the effects of glucose-insulin-potassium (GIK) therapy on infarct size and left ventricular function when used as an adjuvant therapy to primary angioplasty.
- ItemPredictors of radial artery patency for coronary bypass operations(ELSEVIER SCIENCE INC, 2001) Moran, SV; Baeza, R; Guarda, E; Zalaquett, R; Irarrazaval, MJ; Marchant, E; Deck, CBackground. Few data exist regarding angiographic predictors of radial artery patency for coronary bypass grafting, and the benefit of calcium antagonists is not clear.
- ItemUsing global search heuristics for the capacity vehicle routing problem(PERGAMON-ELSEVIER SCIENCE LTD, 1998) Rodriguez, P; Nussbaum, M; Baeza, R; Leon, G; Sepulveda, M; Cobian, AIn this work, a Frame is posed which allows to define global search heuristics in an efficient and declarative way, which interacts with a specific computational implementation of a problem. An overview of different ways to solve problems by the use of global search is presented, followed by the specification of the language proposed. A real decision support system was developed through the use of the language. The problem faced was an extension of the capacity vehicle routing problem. The followed approach minimizes the development cost of a decision support system for logistic and productive environments, since the performance of different heuristics can be tested using the language in a straightforward way. Besides, when new requirements or additional knowledge about the problem appear, the solving engine can be easily modified through the heuristic language.
